A private household in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Part-Time Temporary Private Chef to prepare healthy, organic, and flavorful meals for a family of five on THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS. The ideal candidate is skilled in vegetable-forward cuisine and can accommodate various dietary restrictions while maintaining a diverse and exciting menu. This role requires a chef who is highly organized, flexible, and may be able to assist in Sonoma on occasional weekends.
Plan and prepare daily meals (lunch and dinner) that align with the family’s dietary preferences, focusing on health-conscious, organic, and seasonal ingredients.
Develop a vegetable-forward menu that is both nutritious and flavorful.
Source high-quality, organic, and locally-sourced ingredients.
Accommodate individual dietary restrictions and preferences within the household.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked kitchen, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
Occasionally prepare meals for small gatherings or special occasions.
Travel to Sonoma on select weekends, sometimes on short notice.
Work collaboratively with household staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
5+ years of experience as a private chef or in a high-end culinary setting.
Strong background in plant-forward, organic, and health-focused cuisine.
Ability to tailor meals to specific dietary needs while maintaining creativity and variety.
Michelin experience preferred
Experience sourcing and working with farm-to-table ingredients.
Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust to last-minute schedule changes.
